Take a look at all the things Orange Class have been learning about this term. We have been very busy!
After reading Pumpkin Soup in our Literacy lessons we decided it would be fun to follow a recipe to make our own pumpkin soup, just like Duck, Cat and Squirrel in the story. Everyone had a taste and Alyssa, Kebin and Riley M thought it tasted ‘delicious’.
During book week this year, we read the story of Sleeping Beauty. Mrs Armstrong surprised us by organising a pantomime to come in and perform the story. We really enjoyed listening to the music and joining in with the dancing. Even Mrs Martin had to join in too!
We also had a visit from puppeteer who showed us how to make paper puppets. We all enjoyed re-telling the story of Sleeping Beauty using our puppets.
Aldershot Military Museum
After learning about Remembrance Day, we went on a trip to Aldershot Military museum. We learnt more about how we remember people who have died during the wars.
At the museum, we read the story of ‘Badgers Parting Gift’, listened to music played at Remembrance Day Services and spent time looking at different artefacts from the past. At the end, we were allowed to look at the tank and crawl through the tunnel like a solider! We had a great time.
Living Nativity Scene
This week Sally the shepherd came to school and brought some of her animals along. She showed us what it may have been like at the stable where baby Jesus was born.
We enjoyed patting and stroking the animals. They were all very friendly.
