Our Food Council
Each class in Year 1 & Year 2 held an election to find their class representatives & we are delighted to introduce our Food Council members: Riley, Lily T, Alisah, Joshua, Kelisa, Ryan, Dexter and Lydia.
Here at Farnborough Grange, we believe it is vital for ALL children to have a voice and to feel as though their views and opinions count. Our Food Council have an important role in gathering & sharing ideas around how lunchtimes run, as well as weighing food waste and encouraging children to eat and enjoy their lunch.
Our Food Council is led by Ms Graves. We meet once a month to talk about any issues that have been raised by the children in our class about lunchtimes. Check back on here to see any of the great changes that take place thanks to our Food Council.
On Tuesday 16th July, Year R & 1 parents were invited in to share a 'family service' lunch experience with the children. Thank you to those parents who were able to join us, we hope you enjoyed the delicious roast chicken dinner on the menu! The Food Council then met with the parents, governors & members of the catering team to discuss family service and how it runs. Check back on here to see further developments.
