Living Willow Project

Living Willow Project March 2017

Living Willow artist, Judith Needham, worked with us it maintain and improve our willow structures in the school grounds.

Willow is sustainable, versatile and an excellent way to link children with nature and a valuable tool for the imagination. Our different willow structures allow us to use our school grounds in a more imaginative way and complement our more conventional outdoor structures.

Willow is a fast growing plant and therefore our structures need careful pruning. What we harvest is used for replanting and extending. For more information see document on "Willow Project March 2017."

Judith also use the willow harvested for a workshop with Year 2 children making tension trays.
