Mrs Armstrong Farewell Letter
I am writing to inform you all of my decision to take early retirement this term. This will mean I will be stepping down as Head Teacher and handing over the reins and authority to Mrs Jackie Stevens. Jackie has been working in the school since September and has made a real difference. To ensure that school improvement continues and that stability is maintained she will remain in post until a new Head of School is appointed. During this term there will be a period of transition as Jackie becomes the Head Teacher of Farnborough Grange Nursery Infant Community School.
I have worked in the school since 1992 when I was appointed as the Deputy Head Teacher; having previously worked in Aldershot. In 2005 I took on the role of Head Teacher; which has been both an honour and a privilege, even in the tough times! Farnborough Grange Nursery Infant Community School will always hold a special place in my heart. I will take with me many memories and reflect often on all the children that have passed thorough the school. Many of which now return as parents with their children; this makes me very aware of how the years have passed and that it is time for me to slow. If all goes to plan then I will be working part time at Reading University with student teacher and spending more time with my family.
During this term there will be an opportunity to officially say farewell.
Blessings to you all
