Mrs Stevens Introductory letter
Dear Parents, carers and families
My role at Farnborough Grange Nursery Infant Community School as Headteacher for the next two terms, until a new Head of School has been appointed, this is an exciting challenge for me. I would like to reassure you all that I will do my very best to ensure that there is a smooth transition from the retirement of Jane Armstrong to the appointment of a new Head of School.
Please do introduce yourself to me at the beginning or end of the school day so that I can get to know you. As with any change there will be some questions that you may like to ask and there will be some changes that you may not be too sure of; however, please be confident that everything we do will be in the best interests of your children to support and enhance their education, love of learning, welfare and happiness.
I have been working alongside Jane Armstrong and the staff at Farnborough Grange Nursery and Infant School for the past term on a part-time basis as Executive Lead in Teaching and Learning. During this time I have got to know the staff and many of the children very well. Together, we have worked to ensure that all the excellent elements of the school remain whilst at the same time making changes to the curriculum and environment to ensure that it engages and excites the children and staff at Farnborough Grange.
I am currently Deputy Head Teacher at Ashley C of E School, which is also in The Good Shepherd Trust. Ashley is a large 3-form entry Primary school; I have been there for over 10 years now. At Ashley I have also taken on the role of Headteacher during a period of secondment for the current Headteacher. I have had the opportunity, during my career, to work in a number of schools in many capacities including being a Leading Maths Teacher, an Advanced Skilled Teacher and a Maths Consultant.
I am sure that together we will have a productive, interesting and happy two terms.
With Best Wishes
Together, we grow our love for learning.
