Spring 2015

On the 5th of March we celebrated World Book Day.

Everyone came in dressed as their favourite character. We had lots of super heroes, pirates, fairies and princesses.

Nursery staff dressed up as characters from the book "Wishy-Washy Day."

This is one of the books we are using in our planning for the topic based on the theme of water. We plan to use three core books to deliver a language rich curriculum each half term. For more information see Nursery's curriculum page.

The farmyard animals hide from Mrs Wishy-Washy on bath day. Mrs Wishy-Washy ends up slipping on soap and falling into the bath tub. The children loved the show we put on for them.

The children also enjoyed playing at being Mrs Wishy-Washy and using props associated with the story.

Sharing a Shell

We have also been looking at this book and the children have been re-telling this story using toys and shells.

They have also started to use drawing, text and writing to re-tell the story.
