 'A pirate ship invaded Farnborough Grange Nursery/Infant Community School on Sunday 3rd June as part of 'The Big Lunch' community event. The event opened by Rushmoor's Mayor, Steve Masterton was supported by Mayfield Community Partnership, Prospect Estate Big Local, PD Group and Rushmoor Voluntary Services. A great family time was had by all with a bring & share lunch, face painting, Nepali dancing, Spotlight Dance Group, Beat the Goalie, Farnborough FC Cheerleaders, Messy Church crafts, story time, bingo and a free prize draw for a hamper. The fantastic 'Rebound' band kept us entertained with 60s & 70s music. The weather was glorious with nearly 300 people attending. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming said Head Teacher, Jane Armstrong. Grateful thanks go to 'Big Fish Ministries', The Church of the Good Shepherd, Costco, Asda, Pound land, Mr Simms, the Churchill Crescent shops and the school for their kind donations. The pirate ship supplied by 'Bouncy Bunnies' was also paid for by an anonymous donor.'
