We have been very lucky this half term, going on not one, but two trips! As part of WWI week not only did we explore feelings of children and soldiers during this time, but we also jumped into History, first going to Aldershot Military Museum. At the museum we thought about how we remember through a series of activities. We loved looking at the military vehicles and exploring the artefacts.
We also had great fun at Milestones Museum in Aldershot, where we explored the life of a child during WWI. It really was excellent being able to touch and get up close to artefacts whilst exploring streets from the past. Our day was topped off with a visit to ‘Ye Olde Sweet Shop’ where we chose some sweets to share, remembering that in WWI these would have been rationed.
Thank you Mrs Lyddon for organising such a fabulous week!
