We hope you all had a lovely break. This half term we have been learning all about different Traditional Tales.
We started this learning off by thinking about 'What are the features of traditional tales?'.
We also experienced an amazing workshop where we had the opportunity to act out and watch two traditional tales; The Three Little Pigs and The Elves and the Shoe Maker, it was so much fun!
The Puppet man came to visit us this week! He used handmade puppets to bring a story to life, it was all about a magic hat....it got us thinking about how we could bring the tradtional tales we have been learning about to life!
To celebrate all the learning we have done this term, we decided to put on a puppet show for our parents and re-tell one of our favourite Traditional Tales: The Three Little Pigs. We learnt how to sew our very own puppets, we used coloured felt and embroidery thread.
We had so much fun performing The Three Little Pigs puppet show to our parents and carers. So many grown ups came, thank you so much to you all for coming to see how Year 1 brought Tradtional Tales to life and to see all our amazing learning over this half term!
Together, we grow our love for learning.
