VE Day Project

What is VE Day and why is it celebrated?

Friday 8th May 2020 marks the 75th Anniversary of VE Day (Victory in Europe Day), signalling the end of the second World War (World War II). This is a day of National celebration and one that is usually celebrated in school.

This year, we have created a one-week project, designed to last from Monday 4th-Friday 8th May. There are ideas that you can use to support your child in learning about what VE Day is and how it is celebrated. The week's project will build up to a Stay-at-Home Picnic on Friday 8th May which is a wonderful chance to celebrate as a family.

Please check the documents below which have a suggested timetable and a variety of activities. Please adapt the ideas to support your family in the best way.

Together, we grow our love for learning.
