Where are the bears?

Highlight of the Week

Week beginning 10th February 2020. Great work! Porridge tasting

This week we have celebrated the end of our “Where are the bears” topic by tasting porridge, we chose our favourite toppings fro chocolate chips, honey and bananas.  It was yummy!

27.1.2020 New wet weather trousers for our mud kitchen to keep us clean!

This week Kerry the Koala rang our classes and told us all about herself, she then sent us 3 Koala bears for us to look after.  We looked at maps to find out where Australia was and then found out about the bush fires that are in Austrlia.  We mixed red and yellow to make fiery scenes and added Koala's to our pictures, dont they look amazing.  We have also learnt about how precious water is and why the Koala has a stumpy tail.

Week beginning 20th January 2020

This week Jack Frost froze our classrooms, we had lots of fun wintery activities in our classrooms including building igloos with sugar cubes.  In English we changed the bear hunt story to 'We're going on a polar bear hunt' where we slipped and slid on ice, crunched and scrunched through snow and splashed in the sea! Ask us all about it!

Frozen classrooms

This week we have been on a Bear Hunt to start off our new topic.  We squelched through mud, splashed through a river, stumbled through a wood and found a narrow, gloomy cave with a bear hiding inside!

Bear Hunting!

Together, we grow our love for learning.
