Why do we love to be beside the seaside?
This half term will focus on Geography where we will explore maps and atlases to find coastlines in England. Once identified, we will use geographical vocabulary to describe the key features of the seaside and consider how the seaside is different to where we live. In History, we will answer the question 'How have seaside holidays change over time?' and our Seaside Experience Day will help us to think about why people love going
to the seaside. In English, we will write our own version of the story 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch' as well as as a recount of our Seaside Experience Day.
We will also be thinking about growing up and moving on as we prepare to transition to our Junior Schools. Look out for details of our Leavers' Service Assembly as well as other exciting things coming up as we say goodbye!
Please take a look at our half termly overview below to find out more about what we will be learning.
Please see below the presentation that was shared to give an overview of how we will prepare and support your children in moving up to Year 3.
