What makes me magical?

This half term the children will be learning all about themselves and their families, different body parts, hair and eye colour and will be exploring their different senses.  They will look at growth and how we change as we grow.  

They will be exploring different super heroes and looking at real life super heroes such as the police, fire fighters etc.  

Please would you send in a family photograph as we will be discussing where different families come from.

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK

WEEK BEGINNING: 17.10.22

This week the children had lots of fun showing their grown ups all the things they have been doing in their classrooms for their Great Works Celebration!   We are so proud of all of their achievements this half term and how well they have settled into life at 'Farnborough Grange.'  Well done Year R

WEEK BEGINNING: 10.10.22

This week the children have had lots of fun taking part in many different activities linked to the story of 'Supertato'. These activities have included potato printing, trapping the 'evil pea' and making their own playdough 'evil peas'.   The children have also been learning the first set of red words. 

WEEK BEGINNING: 03.10.22

This week the children have been talking about feelings and have even had a go at writing some words to describe how they feel.  In Maths, the children have been sorting things that are the same and different and have been using the language of same, different and similar.  

WEEK BEGINNING: 26.09.22

This week the children have been enjoying the story of 'Harry and the Dinosaurs go to School'.   They have done some amazing writing about what they do at school, explored dinosaur worlds and made comparisons between the different sized dinosaurs.  

WEEK BEGINNING 19.09.22

This week the children have started taking part in phonics lessons and have began learning the single sounds.  They have continued to enjoy the story of Splat the Cat and have written speech bubbles to describe how Splat is feeling, drawn and painted pictures of him and even made a home for him using junk modelling!

WEEK BEGINNING 12.09.22

This week the children have settled into school fantastically. They enjoyed celebrating Roald Dahl Day by listening to parts of story of The BFG. We then made own dream jars and BFG ears. These ears helped us to do fantastic listening all day!

WEEK BEGINNING 05.09.22

This week the children started in school in their groups.  They were very excited for their home visits.
